Lecture on CDC Public Health Efforts to be Held September 29 in Omaha
A lecture titled “The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Strategic Public Health Efforts in Nutrition and Physical Activity” by Capt. Heidi Blanck, Ph.D. will be hosted by the Gretchen Swanson Center for Nutrition on Thursday, September 29, from 10 to 11 a.m. The lecture will be held at Food Bank of the Heartland, 10525 J Street in Omaha, Neb.
Dr. Blanck is Chief, Obesity Prevention and Control Branch, Division of Nutrition, Physical Activity and Obesity, National Center for Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). She will discuss key public health efforts in improving the lives of Americans through innovative and sustainable policy and environmental change in settings such as child care, schools, parks, hospitals and communities.
