Food Story

Ever since Papa first made authentic Italian food with her Mom-mom and Pop-pop, she connected food with family and love. Pop-pop taught her the importance of feeding the hungry. When she would visit her grandparents, they would cook a meal together once a week for Pop-pop’s church. This act of kindness introduced her to the joy of cooking (and eating). Papa is passionate about research for nutrition assistance programs and increasing food security in communities across the nation.
