Food Story
Duncan’s earliest connections to food begin with warm memories of cooking with her grandmother over the holidays and eating fresh-picked tomatoes from her grandfather’s garden. She was exposed Atlanta’s farmers markets and food access programs as a vendor while working at a local bakery, a formative experience that enmeshed her as a member of her local community in ways far beyond food and inspired her professional pursuits in nutrition security and local food. Duncan enjoys nothing more than cooking and eating a delicious meal with her friends and family, and she strives to help create a food system that offers that security, abundance and joy to all.
