Food Story
Kerling’s first exposure to nutrition as a profession came in college when she discovered that three of her favorite things (science, humans and food) could be combined into one degree. She has since leveraged that passion in a variety of settings including clinical trial research at an academic medical center, nutrition program grants management at the federal level and in her own kitchen teaching her twins about all the cool things that food can do. While more likely knee-deep in Mr. Wizard’s Supermarket Science than Mastering the Art of French Cooking, Kerling deeply respects food is medicine and that communities all over our country and world have the unique ability to lead the way if we first listen with endless curiosity.
