Food Story
The COVID-19 pandemic hit while Schrag was in college. Trying to take it easy on herself, Schrag ordered fast food nearly every day. She figured preparing food takes time and effort, and on a busy schedule, it seemed like the right solution. Her problem was that she wasn’t really thinking of food as a critical way to nurture her body - she had never learned how to cook or manage mealtime. So, Schrag re-approached food all together with the goal to cook for herself and her partner every day. She has since discovered so much joy in the process of learning to cook and experimenting with different ingredients. Today, Schrag sees food as an exciting and personal adventure of trial and error where she can put love into every meal and cook in a way that works best for her.
