Food Story
Food has always been a way that the Vest family shows love for one another and it is at the center of every gathering. Growing up, Daniele Vest was the picky child and always had very specific snacks and meals. This was intensified when she wanted to incorporate more plant-centered meals into her diet after being introduced to the field of nutrition and learning about the relationship between diet and disease. Vest started to realize that this was valuable information that everyone should have, which led her to switch to nutrition in undergrad. Since then, she has been involved in work on food access and volunteered with nutrition organizations to ensure there is healthy food for all.
