Food Story
When Turner was a little girl, she used to design extravagant restaurant menus and put on elaborate dinners for her family members. During her time working for a nonprofit food security-focused organization based in Washington D.C., Turner worked with the executive director to cook all the meals for participants in the farmer training program using fresh ingredients directly from the farm. This further inspired her connection to great food. Additionally, the pandemic lockdowns provided Turner with extra time to refine her chef skills. Today, she focuses on creating dishes that are local, fresh, farm-to-table and follow the seasons of the region. Her food philosophy is to “eat kindly”- whether that be for your community, the earth or your own body.
