Food Story
Growing up, food was always a conversation starter and at the center of most things for the Quattro household. They prioritized eating dinner together around their dining room table, a place where conversations would be in large abundance. There was never a question of whether food would be on the table so when Ruth started working at a local grocery store, she learned that was not the case for everyone. This was the first time Ruth was introduced to SNAP and WIC and from then on, she has focused on food insecurity research and increasing access to healthy and equitable food options for all. Ruth loves trying new foods and learning how food is connected to different cultures.
