Food Story

Learning how food and nutrition intertwined with a person’s health was what solidified Santos’ desire to go into the dietetics field. Growing up, she saw firsthand how food and nutrition had impacted the health of some of her family members, which sparked her interest in public health and community nutrition. After college, Santos worked for WIC where her passion for helping vulnerable populations gain access to food and other resources grew.
